Social Science

The Berean Social Science Department teaches students to see history as God’s divine interactions with mankind, evaluate world events, philosophies, and their sense of self according to a biblical worldview, and apply those scriptural truths to their identity and role as global citizens in today's age.

Discern theological principles about the the nature of God, the nature of man, and the story of redemption demonstrated in historical events throughout time.
Appraise how recurring historical patterns and Biblical truth can inform judgments about events and issues on local, national, and global levels.
Analyze primary sources within their historical context, paying close attention to point of view, audience, purpose, and overall credibility of the source.
