About Me

I have had the privilege of teaching for 25 years. I began teaching at Berean Christian High School 12 years ago and love teaching the subject of science at the high school level. Astronomy and physics are fantastic subjects to teach teenagers; they capture the awe and wonder of God's creation and feed a student's curiosity of the world around them. I emphasize hands-on lessons and teach with a cognitive-constructivist philosophy. In other words, students learn by doing, and they learn by building upon information that they already know.

It is also a great passion of mine to teach science from a Biblical worldview. I have been blessed to study under some of the most well-known creation scientists in their field, including Dr. Danny Faulkner (research astronomer for AiG's Creation Museum in Kentucky), Dr. Larry Vardiman (atmospheric science researcher for ICR) and Dr. Steve Austin (a pioneer in creation research in geology). I have a passion for creation research, attend professional creation research conferences yearly, and have published educational research.

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the Earth!
