Common App/Naviance Matching (Video Link)
Letter of Recommendation (LOR) Procedures
Many private schools and some out-of-state and/or Common Application schools require a letter of recommendation from your counselor and teacher(s). Please note that CSU, UC, and community colleges do not require or accept transcripts or letters of recommendation prior to admittance unless specifically requested after the application has been received. Please only request letters after you are certain you need them, as teachers and counselors cannot take the time to write them “just in case."

All letter of recommendation (LOR) requests and materials must be made in person one MONTH before your first deadline.
- Update Naviance “Colleges I’m Applying To” to list ALL colleges you are planning on applying. Select your application deadlines and confirm that they are accurate.
- Match Common App and Naviance accounts (if you are applying to colleges on Common App).

- Request teachers formally on Naviance who will write letters for you.
