Spiritual Emphasis Week - January 28th to February 1st

We are so excited to welcome back Pastor Billie Dempsey!

He was this year's All-School Retreat speaker, and we are blessed to have him back for the Spiritual Emphasis Week.

Pastor Dempsey is the Senior Pastor of Higher Ground Church in Oakland, CA. He began this ministry as a church plant 19 years ago, at the age of twenty-six. He married his wife, Jaquay, seventeen years ago and for the past ten years, they have faithfully homeschooled their four lively and talented children: Micaiah (14), Matthias (12), Memphis (10) and Mercy (4).

He credits his degree in Religion and History from Paul Quinn College in Dallas, TX  and being raised by his grandmother in Marshall, TX as the catalysts of his deep love for Christ and desire to preach God’s Word. A certified USA Boxing Coach, Pastor Dempsey enjoys boxing and training others when not serving with his family in ministry. He also serves as a roadie to his children’s band, MeloDious, and loves spending quality time with his family every opportunity he can.

The Spiritual Emphasis Week's theme this year is Spiritual Warfare. Pastor Dempsey will be preaching about Ephesians 6:10-12.  We look forward to sharing some of his main points in the days to come!
