Friday, May 1st Cap and Gown Distribution and Decision Day Celebration 

Seniors should represent their post-high school plans with a t-shirt, sweatshirt, hat, or other appropriate apparel.  Caps, gowns, and yard signs will be available for pick up at BCHS in front of the College and Career Center from 11:40 am to 12:10 pm. This will be the only time for Seniors to pick up their caps and gowns. Please plan accordingly.  If you are a senior parent who would like to volunteer with the distribution, please email Mrs. Tegeler at ktegeler@bereanchristian.com.

 

Friday, May 8th Deadline for submitting official transcripts proving completed credits for approved outside courses.

This date is necessary for diplomas to be ready for Graduation. Official transcripts should be ordered to go to Miss Grieb at kgrieb@bereanchristian.com.

 

Monday, May 11th Baccalaureate Rehearsal

Held in the BCHS Gym during lunch.  Seniors taking the AP Calculus Exam will need to stay for lunchtime after the exam to attend.

 

Tuesday, May 12th All Senior BCHS-issued iPad return date 

The iPad, in its original case, the charging block, and cord are all required to be returned to avoid any fees. The passcode must be changed to all 1’s.  (Since AP tests require the student to bring his or her iPad, seniors taking AP Precalculus, AP Psychology, AP Art History, AP Computer Science Principles, and/or AP Spanish will not return their iPads on May 12th.  They will arrange another time to return the iPad to Mr. Sugimoto after they have completed their last AP test.)  No finals will be on the iPad, so even students with finals will return their iPads.

 

Thursday, May 14th Senior Chapel and Checkout

Senior Chapel at At 10:00 a.m, Seniors without finals will check out at the front office and then leave campus.  Seniors with finals will leave right after chapel and check out after their last final during finals week.  No seniors should be on campus on Friday, May 15th unless they are here to review for a specific final.  In that case, the student must check in and out at the front office.

 

Sunday, May 17th Baccalaureate

3:00 PM at NorthCreek Church. Graduates must arrive in Room 202 by 2:30 PM.

Monday, May 18th – Thursday, May 21st Finals

 

Friday, May 22nd Senior Breakfast & Graduation Rehearsal 

Held in the NorthCreek Church gym starting at 8:30 AM. After breakfast, there will be a Graduation rehearsal in the Sanctuary.  This rehearsal will end around noon.

 

Friday, May 22nd Graduation

Begins promptly at 7:00 PM at NorthCreek Church. (Seniors will meet in Room 202 no later than 6:15 PM.) Doors will open at 6:15 PM, and there will be no reserved seating and no tickets. Because the graduation ceremony is to honor graduating seniors, we require specific guidelines regarding dress code (see below) and behavior. Berean Christian High School asks for your help in preventing any disruptive conduct as we value the significance of our graduates’ accomplishments and wish to regard our graduating class with high esteem. It is also imperative that we are considerate to the host church that is allowing us to use their facility for this significant event. Seniors are required to wear their caps and gowns to the Graduation ceremonies. School dress code standards apply.

Caps and gowns may not be decorated or altered for Graduation.  Girls must wear dresses (no tight, form-fitting, strapless dresses or skirts with revealing slits), and boys must wear dress pants, a shirt and tie, dress shoes, and socks.
