Wrestling is a demanding sport that has been around for thousands of years. Grapplers (what wrestlers are called) regularly push themselves beyond what they thought possible. If this sounds like a challenge you would like to take on we encourage you to give it a shot.

Head coach Darryll Whaley, who started the program in 2013, leads the Berean Christian Wrestling Program. Coach Whaley has built the program surrounding himself with like-minded coaches who have an incredible skill set in wrestling, work ethic, and, in working with young adults. These coaches also understand that sportsmanship, teamwork, and working hard together is the cornerstone to a successful program. 

In recent years, the team has experienced higher final league standings in a league of DI & DII teams, including third place in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. Being a small school DIII team, the opportunity to be recognized means demonstrating not only skills on the mat but character even in the losses. During these seasons, the team also qualified for the team Sectional Duals. In the 2019-20 Sectional Duals, they made it to the consolation championships, missing the third place banner by just a few matches. As a team, this was NOT a defeat, but an opportunity to see what is possible.

• NCS individuals on the podium: 2016 - 7th place, 2018 - 6th place

• NCS DIII Dual Championships appearance: 2019
