AP Euro Teacher
I've been married to my wonderful husband (a Berean alumnus) for 22 years, and the Lord has blessed us with four great kids, two of whom are also Berean alumni. I completed a bachelor's degree in Political Science, History, and Social Studies Education with a minor in English at Indiana Wesleyan University in 1998 and received a teaching license in Indiana before moving to California and starting a family. I homeschooled our children from 2004 to 2020, and now I'm excited to embark on a new teaching opportunity here at Berean. While homeschooling, I taught a number of classes at a homeschool co-op, including history and writing, mostly to junior high students.
I love studying history with the knowledge that God directs it and uses it to accomplish His purposes and demonstrate His faithfulness, thereby glorifying Himself. In my classes my goal is to apply the truths of scripture to all of life. I'm excited to help students do the same and let that lead them to worship Him for His work in the world.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading, jogging (not too far and not too quickly, though), and hiking. When possible, I love traveling with my husband on geeky history trips, especially to Europe.
