Mrs. Rebecca Oriol

Teacher

Welcome to AP Comparative Government and Government/Economics! I am THRILLED to be teaching such an important "senior" class and blessed to be leading the class of 2019 to an understanding of God's influence upon governmental and economical policies and systems.

Brief Bio:
I am a alumni of both Walnut Creek Christian Academy ('95-'05) and Berean Christian (Class of '09). I briefly attended Diablo Valley College and then transferred to California State University East Bay where I majored/received my BA in Political Science. While attending CSUEB, I became a political analyst for the 2012 presidential election and was interviewed as an "expert" on swing states for a local talk radio show. In addition, I became editor-in-chief of CSUEB's Politica (the university's political journal). Furthermore, my capstone paper on the Tea Party and its relationship to the Republican party was selected by the faculty for publication. Finally, I graduated Magna Cum Laude and top of the Political Science Department in 2013. Along with my academic accomplishments, I have interned for BART Director Debora Allen and the Contra Costa Republican Party, been an undergraduate tutor at Liberty University Online, and a part of the Council of Undergraduate Research (CUR).
