May 13 – May 17, 2019

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Hebrews 12: 1-2 (ESV)

7:00PM FRIDAY

The Drama Department is hosting an Improv Night this Friday at 7:00pm in the Student Center. This show is full of improvised scenes, audience participation, and total unpredictability! If you happened to miss out on our mid-year Christmas Improv night, you're not going to want to skip this. It's a really fun time where the students get to show off a skill set we work on often in class that is sort of the dramatic equivalent of a high-wire performances for stage actors. Think of it as our very own Berean-ized version of "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Come join in on the fun, help choose some elements of a scene, see how it pans out, laugh, and relieve some of the end-of-the-year stress! We hope to see you there.

Student of the Month

Macy Woodworth, Student of the Month

This final month of our school year, we honor Macy Woodworth as Berean’s Student of the Month for May, 2019!  Macy has been a wonderful role model on our campus, both in faith, character and participation. She has served on our Student Government for the past two years, and this year is our Student Body President. She also is a member of our Yearbook staff helping to preserve the memories from this 2018-2019 school year. She’s probably best known, however, as a stellar athlete and basketball player. Even though she has struggled with injuries, her enthusiasm and commitment to the team has been unwavering. Her high level of skill has earned her a spot to play at Lee University in Tennessee next year. Beyond these accomplishments, however, we honor her genuine love for the Lord and her kind and respectful attitude in everything she does. Congratulations, Macy!
