About Me
I began my career as a person, (my birth) in San Francisco, Ca. a few years back. After entering this world, I lived in Antioch, Hayfork, and Chowchilla. My dad was a teacher and then a principal. My mom and dad loved Jesus and raised us to think for ourselves and explore the claims of Christ. I'm so glad. I finally grew up and went to college(s). I went to three, and yes, I know that’s too many. Pt. Loma Nazarene University, then Biola University, and then graduated (finally) ten years later at Cal State East Bay. Ten years after that graduation, I went back to Cal State and finished a Master of Art’s degree in 2005.
After I got married to my fabulous, piano-playing husband, John, in 1979, I taught piano, voice, and flute lessons. I home-schooled two years and then began teaching kindergarten, and after that, 5th grade. By this time, my children were attending Berean and mentioned to me that their music teacher was leaving. I thought, “Could I really teach there?” So, I applied. I’m sure the board and principal weren’t too sure about me, as I had never taught high school music. I assured them that I would leave quickly if I was bad at it. And, here I am 20 years later! Praise God for his many blessings to me! Disclaimer - if you watch any of the videos that I have on my page - please disregard any overly silly things I might have said. Feel free to fast forward through my musings and get on to the music!
