Daniel Guy

I love God, my family, my race, my country, traveling and basketball. My father and both grandfathers were preachers. I have visited over 25 countries. I am a special education teacher at Northgate HS in Walnut Creek. I love and appreciate every blessing that the Lord has given me.

• Dad and both grandfathers are and were pastors in Christ

• Two brothers and 1 sister

• Raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (The Steelers in in my DNA) - Graduated from Penn Hills H.S. in 1993.

• Lost less than 10 games during my 3 years playing for Penn Hills

• Lost in the Final Four of the Pennsylvania State Tournament

• Attended Penn State Altoona College for 2 years. Was 1st team All-PA JUCO.

• Graduated from San Francisco State University to earn my B.A. in Sociology 1999.

• U.S. Navy 2003-2008

• Graduated from University of Phoenix to earn a Master’s in Secondary Education 2009 - Head Coach of Lakes H.S. Girls’ Basketball 2009-2012

• Team went from 10-10 to 19-9 in 1st year

• Finished top 10 in Washington State 3A each year (19-9, 18-7, 20-6)

• Graduated from Liberty University to earn a Master’s in Special Education 2011 - Head Coach of Hercules H.S. Girls’ Basketball 2011-2013

• Team went from 14-13 to 16-8 in 1st year

• Went 17-3 in conference play

• Head Coach of Cheyenne H.S., Las Vegas Girls’ Basketball 2016-17

• Team went from 6-12 to 18-7 in 1st year & 1st winning season in 10+ years - 10-0 in league

• Coach of the year for Las Vegas

• Head Coach of Alameda H.S. Girls’ Basketball 2019-20 - Team went from 16-12 to 24-6 in 1st year

• Most wins in school’s history

• 1st NCS Championship in school’s history
